First photo nude photo shoot of 2024

 The studio is still too cold to work in, so I did a location shoot at my friend Russell's house this week.

Portrait of Aimee at the Spillway

 The weather was perfect and Aimee was game so I took advance of the chance to do some partially clothed portrait work of her along the Mississippi River at the Bonett Carre spillway.

Mardi Gras portrait

 Every Mardi Gras, I try to do a special Mardi Gras portrait of A, this is this years masked portrait.

Back in the wet darkroom

 Got in another 4 hours printing 5x7 and 8x10 negatives today.

Scanning 4x5 negatives with the Epson V850

 I have to say, with the new Epson glass film holders, they scan pretty sharp, and the software is way easier to use.

Scanning negatives on the IMACON

 

I have not done much scanning on the WU IMACON flex tight scanner in a while. I have an Epson V850 and have been using that. I was interested in comparing the two scanners and although the IMACON makes crazy sharp scans there were for me, lots of issues with excessively contrasty scans.

Printing the 8x10's

 

After three year being away from the darkroom, I got in a 4 hour session making final prints off my 8x10 negs of the past two summers studio portrait work.
