First studio shoot of the year at Tyson

I was able to get out to my Tyson studio

today with one of my favorite models. Its only the first

shoot of the year and many of the new books are

not ready to be collaged into images, but today 

was a great start.

at the Arch with my photo I class

I took my photo I class to the Arch for a photo field trip

this week and of course took my camera with me. For this

trip to took the GX-1 with the 12 mm, we had a great mix

of sun and clouds that day and lots of people watching.

AF Fine tuning of Nikon Camera bodies

I have had problems with both my D7000 and D800 back focusing, the D800 even made a trip back to Nikon for AF repairs. To no avail. I have been putting off doing the AF fine tuning as I thought it too complicated and just defaulted to manual focus mode. I recently viewed some uTube videos and spent the time to figure it all out. Turned out every single one of my AF lenses on both bodes needed some form of adjustment.

I would encourage anyone with a D7000 or D800 to spend time and go thru the AF fine tuning procedure, its not as hard as it seems, and will make a difference.
