State of the Art

From a visit to the archives, taken in 2005 of myself and one of my "muses" and me holding what I think was my Apple PowerBook 160. At the time we thought it to be fire breathing, not sure I could even boot it up anymore, but I do still have it. The cutting edge of state of the art is an easy place to bleed out at.

Tyson studio, October 2016

Revisiting some files from the fall, but for me, thats what the "off season" is all about. My rhythm is to pretty much shut down the Tyson studio November to April and spend those months combing thru those files. I am pretty sure there will be more investigation done in this area next year. First stop is Ikea for more of this material.

From Sundays session at the Tyson studio

Shot with my Fuji Xpro2 a camera I have been using in the studio for a surprising amount of work this past Tyson shooting season. This latest "draped" work really is not part of any portfolio of work but you never know where the work will take you.

Last Shoot of the Tyson Studio Season

This time I am pretty sure its the last shoot, got out to the studio and it was 58 degrees, after two hours I got the temp up to 69 but it was still a little chilly inside. My model was a very good sport about it and for 90 mins braved the chilly air. Very productive shoot, shot the last of the loaded 5x7 film too.

Last Tyson shoot of the season?

Its that time of year, it get cold at night and the studio is cooling off, so the shoot last week is perhaps the last shoot of the season. It was a good last week with 2 really terrific shoots with Camaron and Aimee. Next week i'll know for sure and will start shutting down the studio and securing the place for the winter.

New Work from New Orleans

Made it back to New Orleans to work on the final chapter of my post Katrina portfolio "A Matter of Faith".  Made these at the New Testament B.C. in the lower 9th ward, thanks to the congregation and especially to the Rev. Jack Baptist for allowing me to join them that morning.
