Contact sheet scans

As part of my attempt to bring some organization to some of my older work, I have been scanning negative pages lacking contact sheets this week. Most of it is work from 1973-76. I do not know what I was thinking with my numbering system, its just one more thing to add to the list of topics to discuss with 1973 Stan when time travel is invented.

Latest addition to the "Matter of Faith Portfolio"



Just when you think you're done something comes along. In this case a church in the lower 9th ward I never thought would rebuild is in the process of doing so. In March I stumbled across a group from southern Indiana who were working hard to make it happen.

Muses parade, Mardi Gras 2018

I've always been fascinated by the almost religious quality of those pleading for beads from the floats as they pass by, its nearly a form of ecstasy especially with the raised arms.

Holt Cemetery

At least once during every visit to NOLA I try to make it to Holt, this Mardi Gras we managed some time between rain storms to make a visit and some photographs. A very special place.
